1. IDENTIFIED NEW ENTREPRENEUR VILAS RAM JI TONGRE WHO WAS INTERESTED IN MANUFACTURING OF “UDAD PAPAD” AND ALSO INTERESTED IN FORMING A SHG FOR SPICES PRODUCTION& VALUE ADDITION. HE WAS HAVING A COMPLETE SETUP FOR PAPAD PRODUCTION. WE IDENTIFIED THE INEFICIENCY IN PROCESSSUGGESTED FEW  CHANGES IN PROCESS TO MAKE IT MORE HYGEINIC .

3.SURVEYED MARKET TO KNOW THE CONSUMER PREFERENCE ABOUT SPICES .
AROUND 10 SHOPS (INCLUDING WHOLESALE AND RETAIL SHOPS) WERESURVEYED. 

4. MET WITH Smt. SHASHIKALA THOMBRE AND PROVIDED THEM THE DPR’S FOR SOYA MILK PROCESSIN,SOYA PANEER PROCESSING .SO THAT THE DPR’S COULD BE SHARED WITH THE OTHER INTERESTED PEOPLE AND SHG’S AND WE ALSO PROVIDED AN INFORMATION BOOKLET ABOUT SOLAR DRYER BY NGO SEED.

INTRODUCED VILAS RAM JI TONGRE TO SHG COORDINATOR Smt. SHASHIKALA THOMBRE AND DISCUSSED THEIR PLANNING REGARDING FORMATION OF NEW SHG FOR SPICES PROCESSING AND VALLLUE ADDITION. WE ALSO DISCUSSED VARIOUS FUNDING SCHEMES AVAILABLE FOR BPL’S AND APL SHG’S
DISCUSSION ABOUT THE AVAILABLE TRAINING PROGRAMMES UNDER “MITCON CONSULATANCY AND ENGINEERING SERVICES LIMITED”WHICH IS WORKING IN ASSOCIATION OF DISTRICT RURAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FOR EMPOWERING LARGE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS AND SHG’S THROUGH TRAINING,COUNSELLING AND INFORMATION DISSEMINATION TO HELP THEM BUILD BETTER BUSINESSES.





5. LABEL DESINGING FOR THE NEW PRODUCT  “SHREE MASALA” WAS DONE. ACCORDING TO THE FSSAI STANDARD. WE ARE ALSO IN PROCESS TO GET THE PRODUCT REGISTERED UNDER FSSAI. FURTHER WE HAVE ALSO OBTAINED COMPLYING STANDARDS FOR EXPORT AND IMPORT OF SPICES FROM THE WEBSITE OF “SPICES BOARD OF INDIA”.

MET Mr. SANDEEP(FOOD INSPECTOR) AND Mr. DILIP(FOOD SAFETY OFFICER) AND DISCUSSED ABOUT THE REGISTRATION OF NEW SHG’s .HE ALSO TOLD US ABOUT THE CORRECT PROCEDURE OF LABELLING ON OUR PRODUCTS AND PROVIDED US THE DESCRIPTION ABOUT LABELLING AND HE ALSO SUGGESTED OUR GROUP TO FOLLOW A BOOK NAMED “FOOD SAFETY AND STANDARDS ACT” WHICH HAS TO BE FOLLOWED.

HE ALSO DISCUSSED ABOUT THE NEED OF THE FSMS(FOOD SAFETY AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM) TO IMPLEMENT THE FSSAI STANDARD ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.

HE ALSO TOLD US TO GET NUTRITIONAL ANALYSIS FROM NABL ACCREDIATED LABS.

WE ENSURED TO SUPPORT HIM TO GET LOAN FOR WATER PLANT(TATA WATER MISSION) FROM CENTRAL BANK WHICH WILL SERVE 20LITRES OF WATER
 @ RS 4 WHICH IS VERY CHEAP COMPARED TO OTHER MINERAL WATER.

WE ALSO PROMISED HIM TO IMPROVISE THE LABEL WITH PROPER FSSAI RECOMMENDATION.

WE ALSO TOLD HIM SOM FORTIFICATION BY ADDING BANANA POWDER AND BY MAKING CHOCOLATE DIPS.

4. AN EVAPORATIVE COOLING CHAMBER WAS MADE BY TWO OF OUR GROUP MEMBERS AT VILLAGE TO STORE FRESHLY HARVESTED FRUIT AND VEGETABLES  AT VERY ECONOMIC COST TO ENHANCE THEIR SHELF LIFE.








5.  TWO OF OUR GROUP MEMBERS MADE VERMIWASH WHICH CAN BE USED AS ORGANIC MANURE TO PROMOTE OFGANIC FARMING.

·         ARRANGEMENTS FOR MORNING TRAINING SESSION WERE MADE.
·         CULTURE OF AZOLA WAS COLLECTED FROM VILLAGE’S VETERINARY DOCTOR MR. BANGADE
·         TRAINING SEESION IN MORNING AND EVENING WAS ARRANGED BY THE TRAINER Mr.  VP Singh.
·         RECEIVED THE RESULT OF NUTRITIONAL ANALYSIS OF SHG PRODUCT (TURMERIC AND LEMON PICKLE).
·         SEARCHED THE SHOP OF PRINTING AND PACKAGING POUCHES FOR SPICES.
·         HANDOVERED THE SAMPLES OF SIX KIND OF SPICES FOR NUTRIONAL ANALYSIS AT SHREE ATR LAB.
·         OBTAINED QUOTATION FOR PLASTIC PACKET PRINTING.

  •       We went to Gram Panchayat for Prerna Mahila Bachat Gat SHG registration and then to IDBI bank for opening a bank account for SHG.



     ·    Arrangements of chairs,mats,tables were made by our group members for the training 
                 process at Gram Panchayat.




  •             Announcements regarding training was done all around the village.

  •          Umakant along with Vikas went to Jalgaon to collect the results of nutritional analysis of turmeric and lemon pickle,and handover the samples of spices for nutritional analysis.

  •         They also searched a shop for printing and packaging of pouches for new product.

  •        Also obtained the quotations for plastic packet printing.

  •            Contacted Mr. S P Singh at CIAE Bhopal for soya flaker machine. But technology has not been commercialized for human consumption.

  •        In training session various value addition techniques of corn, soya, wheat, soya Snuts, milk etc. Future prospects and equipments required for the same was also discussed.
  •         Training session was also organized on azola cultivation. Mr. Kishore Shinde agreed for azola cultivation on his dairy farm.






  •         Contacted cftri, mysore for technology transfer of ready to cook premixes.

  •       Meeting with village community resource person Mrs. Sapkade for training of SHG members. Also identified an entrepreneur interested in setting up his own business.

·         IN TODAYS TRAINING THIRTY SEVEN TRAINEES PARTICIPATED.
·         TRAINING SESSION WAS BASED ON PROCESSING OF LOCALLY AVAILABLE CROPS.
·         QUESTION ANSWER SESSION WAS ORGANIZED TO SOLVE THE QUERIES OF TRAINEES.
·         ARRANGED ALL REQUISITES FOR AZOLA CULTIVATION.


·    1.  37 TRAINEES WERE PRESENT IN TODAY’S TRAINING SESSION. MOST OF THEM WERE FEMALE. NUMBER OF PARTICIPENTS WERE LESS DUE TO NEW YEAR FESTIVAL GUDIPADVA.








·     2.  CONTACTED VARIOUS SMALL INDUSTRIES IN OUR LOCALITY FOR INDUSTRIAL VISIT OF TRAINEES   LIKE AS DIPAK MASAALE (BHUSAWAL), HUMBERDIKAR BAKERY (BHUSAWAL),YASHVANT DAIRY  (BHUSAWAL). ALSO CONTACTED LARGE INDUSTRIES LIKE JAIN IRIGATION AND INSTITUTIONS LIKE   KVK (JALGAON) AND GRF (GANDHI RESEARCH FOUNDATION).

·   3.   VISIT TO GRF AND JAIN IRRIGATION WAS FINALISED.

·   4.   PROCESSING TECHNIQUES FOR LOCALLY AVAILABLE CROPS WAS DISCUSSED IN TRAININ      SESSION. DURING Q&A SESSIONS ALL DOUBTS RELATED TO CERTIFICATION AND APPROVAL OF    PRODUCT WAS DISCUSSED.

·         Rally on “swatch bharatabhiyan” and “food processing” led by sunil .

·         Collected information about the techniques having high scope in field of food processing which can be executedby interested people to earn profits.
·         Meeting with shashikalathombre ( SHG coordinator )
·         Talked to Mr.A.B.Bokre  regarding collecting of  samples by ABHINAV FARMER GROUP ( PUNE )
·         Contacted Mrs.Kulkarni  for guest lecture and practical training on processing and value addition of pickle and spices.
·         Invited Mr.Prashantpatil (MCED) as a guest in valedictory program.
·         Tie up of Samarth pickles with Mr. Vilas Gayake for marketing of it.

           Activity Description:
    
   
     1. Visited GANDHI RESEARCH FOUNDATION at jain irrigation pvt ltd jalgaon along 
          with the trainer and 50 trainees.




  
    2. First of all they demonstrated solar charkha to all visitors and explained the working and
         scope of SOLAR CHARKHA after that they demonstrated us tissue cultures development          laboratory having various cultures of banana.
   





  
     3.  Then they showed us all kinds of products and machinery manufactured by them, also they        told us about all the technologies developed by them.








      4.   Then we saw ULTRA HIGH DENSITY PLANTATION and we also gave our SHG product        samples of turmeric and lemon pickle to them.









      5 . Rallywas conducted on Swatch Bharat Abhiyan and Food Processing led by sunil all over            the village.














      6.   Information about various techniques which could be executed by local people to earn good      profits was collected from Mr. VP Singh.

·           All necessary arrangements were made by our group for fourth day of skill development programme at panchayat bhavan.

·         Today’s training session was based on spices and pickle processing. With the help of MCED we had invited Ms. Sheetal Kulkarni from Jalgaon as a trainer for today’s session. Whole training was divided into 3 session. Honorarium was paid by MVSSN.



·         In first session she discussed the various spices crops locally available and its scope in processing sector. Later on she shared the dos and don’ts of spices production.

·         In second session the recipes for various masala mixes like sabji masala, pavbhaji masala, mutton masala, chaat masala and several others were discussed.

·         In the third and the final session of the day a practical demonstration was organized where processing techniques of garam masala was demonstrated.




  
                                                  



                                                 





·         Later on we introduced her to our newly formed shg PRERNA MAHILA BACHAT GAT. There we had discussion on standardization of recipe, cost reduction and proper storage of spices. She was also felicitated with a certificate of appreciation by our mentor Er. Vinkel Arora.





·         Another team was busy in making necessary arrangement for marketing of pickles at Bhusawal. We packed all the four variants of pickle into various pack size and once we received overwhelming customer response. Within 2 hours pickle of Rs. 1780/- was sold at Bhusawal.
















·         The third team was sent to bhusawal for designing and printing of new labels for our pickle and spices range. Same team also purchased mementos for for felicitation of guests on valedictory function of skill development programme.

·         Later in the evening Mr. Prashant Patil ( Jr. Project officer, MCED , JALGAON) also visited the papad manufacturing of Mr. Vilas RAM Ji Tongale. He assured him of all kind of financial and technical support that MCED can provide. Guided our entrepreneur through the process of PMEGP and all other financial shemes under DIC. He was also felicitated by our mentor Er, Vinkel Arora with a certificate of appreciation.

·         Mr. Patil also gave a link for marketing of SHG product at Jalgaon. She gave us the contact details of a businesswomen at sindhi colony of Jalgaon.

·         Visited Savda panchayat of ErandolTaluka.
·         Valedictory function of training session.
·         Motivational lecture by Mr. SantaramBadgujar, Dr. A V Bokhare, Mr. Shrikant Jhambre and Dr. T T Bari

·          Our  team of three students accompanied by our mentor Vinkel Arora and Dr.SantaramBadgujar (Dean, Department of Social Welfare Studies, NMU, JALGAON) visited the SAVDA panchayat under ErandolTaluka. We were invited by NMU to visit this village which is adopted by them as part of their VAP. A meeting with ladies of village and Sarpanch was organised at panchayat bhawan of SAVDA village.








·         The proceedings started with a lecture by Dr.SantaramBadgujar. He introduced our team to villagers. Then after our mentor delivered a lecture on importance of rural self-employment and rural entrepreneurship development in the field of food processing industries. His lecture was more on the motivational side and how ladies can gather together to form shg on various indigenous food product locally available such pickles, papad etc. Then we presented a short success atory on maulimahilabachat gat and Samarth turmeric pickle. We also informed them about technicalities involved in designing of label of any food product and how to proceed for FSSAI registeration.







·         We also informed them about various funding schemes under IWMP and DRDA for shg’s and various training programme modules under RSETI and MCED. WE also distributed pamphlet and forms related to same and various government schemes.

·         We had a small talk with Dr. SANTARAM BADGUJAR about low cost rural technology and various low cost technologies ready for transfer with various institutions across India. Dr.Badgujar also promised for all kinds of help he can extend for development of our village
·         Meanwhile in the village we gathered all the trainees for valedictory function. We also showed them a movie on entrepreneurship development in Marathi. Dr. A V Bokhare of Iwmp was invited as Chief Guest for valedictory function.








·         Valedictory function started with a welcome speech by our mentor Er. Vinkel Arora. Later on all invited guests Dr. A V Bokhare, Dr.Badgujar, Dr. T T BariAnd other officials of DRDA delivered a motivational lecture. It was a wonderfull experience for villagers as well as for us to listen to them.

·         Guests were felicitated by our Group with a memento.
