         Smart Model Village-An Initiative of Rashtrapati Bhavan

       The Hon’ble President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee, has adopted five villages in Haryana to be developed as ‘Smart Model Village’. During the thirteenth presidency, a number of initiatives were taken to make Rashtrapati Bhavan Estate a model township. TI includes preservation of heritage, efficient management of security, water energy and waste disposal system, and improvement of infrastructure and creation of new facilities like sewage treatment plants, studio apartments, residential blocks, a ceremonial hall and an AUSH wellness clinic.

       On May 19, 2016 The president of India declared Rashtrapati Bhavan a smart township. To replicate the model of Rashtrapati Bhavan in different Villages, Hon’ble President has adopted 5 villages in Haryana state. In every Village various components like water, electricity, sanitation and solid waste management, accommodation, E-governance, IT connectivity, protection of flora and fauna, health and education, generating employment, road connectivity and safety and security of residents will be ensured by various other agencies. Various government schemes will be ensured by various agencies. Various government schemes will be the basis to raise the fund for this development work.
       
   NIFTEM in one of this agencies which will primarily concentrate in agriculture and food processing sector. Various groups of students with their e=respective faculty will visit their allotted village under VAP(VILLAGE ADOPTATION PROGRAM) and work for the same. Ujagar Group is one of such Group guided by Vinkel Kumar Arora in village Taj Nagar Gurgaon, Haryana.
